Volunteering at St. Anthony's Free Clothing Program

  • St. Anthony's Free Clothing Program (map)

Join fellow alumni as we look to give back to the San Francisco community. St. Anthony’s has been serving San Francisco in so many ways since 1950, from meals to addition recovery to clothing to medicine. Register here.

Help us serve San Francisco in a small way by volunteering with us at St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program. We have 15 spots available for our day. The commitment is 3 hours (our shift is 1-4pm). The teamwork and collaboration of group volunteers helps St. Anthony's sort, quality check, hang clothing, and assist guests in the shopping experience. We look forward to serving with you!

All alumni are welcome to sign up to volunteer.

About St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program

St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program is San Francisco’s largest free clothing program, providing warm clothes, interview apparel or workwear, and children’s clothing to homeless and low-income families and individuals. The Free Clothing Program at a glance:

  • More than $3,000,000 in clothing donations from individuals and corporate partners per year and nearly 1,200 volunteer hours each month

  • 36,000 pieces of new and like-new clothing distributed for free to nearly 10,000 guests each year (including more than 2,500 children)

The average family spends $700 per child on clothing each year (USDA, 2014); the majority of families have two or three children, which can mean spending $2,100 each year. For low-income or single parents struggling to pay rent while covering healthcare costs and other critical bills, a clothing budget may be nonexistent.

Please join members of Paradise and neighboring towns impacted by the fire for a day of community building and land recovery on April 27th. We will plant trees, establish erosion control, do bioremediation with mushrooms, make seed balls, and other eco-system repair techniques.

A Special Event for Stanford Alumni in the Classes of 2008 - 2018

It’s that time of the year when we celebrate all our Bay Area alums and give a little extra suga to the newest grads. Whether you recently moved here, just graduated, or have lived in the area for years, come celebrate alum life with us at Copyright Cocktail Bar in SF!

This year’s event is what Stanford does best: a darty (day party, for those of you brushing up on lingo post-grad). Tix include one drink ticket + appetizers. The bar is all ours until 6, when it opens to the public.

It wouldn’t be a true Stanford darty without a theme: Boos and Booze. Sport your Halloween finest as a dry-run for the big day. Costumes are highly encouraged but, of course, not required. Come out to eat, drink, hang out, and help welcome the Class of 2018 to adult life in the Bay Area!
